Who are we?
Studholme Medical Centre has had a Patient Participation Group (PPG) since 2008.
We are an independent group of surgery users, from different backgrounds, who care about the way our surgery works and the service it can provide.
We are affiliated to the National Association of Patient Participation Groups (NAPP) www.napp.org.uk which is the umbrella organisation for Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) within primary care.
What do we do?
We meet every six weeks or so and our meetings are attended by Senior Staff from Studholme Medical Centre.
We raise issues which have caused concern or worry for patients as well as those which have been successful and helpful. The PPG does not handle individual complaints.
We work with the Practice to identify priorities for patients, and contribute to proposals for any improvements or changes.
We talk to patients, at the Practice, to get their opinions and feelings which is feedback during our meetings to effect positive changes and improvements.
Please see our PPG Flyer which gives more information about PPG.
Please see our PPG constitution guidance which provides the frame of how the group operates and its roles and objectives.
