Care Quality Commission

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) set some guidelines around how they expect services like hospitals, care homes, dental and GP surgeries, and all other care services in England to operate. They consider patient safety, effective working, compassionate and high-quality care, and encourages services to make improvements where possible. There is no direct correlation between the clinical care provided by a service and it’s CQC rating.
